This is atechnicalhands onfocused position that will be responsible for the development and production support. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to establish effective working relationships and manage multiple priorities while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. This position will participate in all phases of the systems life cycle. Job Duties Should own the suite of applications and drive various initiatives/projects after getting client approval. Engage with client in IT strategy and road map Have big picture of complete Forethought environment and provide solutions on web technologies Data architect knowledge is plus Work closely with offshore/onsite teams and to go person for any technical solutions. Increase the level of thought leadership contribution to the client Provide an anchor for thought leadership within the Forethought staff Tap into, coalesce and evaluate tactical ideas from within the team to align with or help define strategy Introduce a design approval gate for projects that may include architectural changes Legacy modernization Requirements 5+ years software development experience Bachelor's degree required Extensive use of a Javascript toolkit (Dojo a plus) 5+ years of experience with a web framework (Spring, Spring MVC a plus , Java Application servers (WebLogic/WebSphere/Tomcat framework) Experience with Databases (DB2, SQL, stored procedure development a plus) Some background and exposure to Hadoop. Some Insurance domain knowledge Experience with UNIX (AIX preferred) Experience with Shell scripting
