GDH is currently seeking an Mechanical Design Engineer for one of our clients.

  • ·       Support designs and development of new products and adaptations of existing products
  • ·       Ability to  research incidental to design and product application
  • ·    Understand hydraulic horsepower required to meet winch performance targets
  • ·       Develop detailed designs gear drives
  • ·       Design and perform structural analysis on components and winch systems
  • ·       Utilize 3D Modeling Software create and analyze designs
  • ·       Create detailed drawings and Bill of Materials of new parts and assemblies as required
  • ·       Complete design projects and manufacturing process changes from planning, calculation and design analysis, testing, evaluation and implementation necessary for successful project completion
  • ·       Utilize and maintain Six Sigma, DFSS, and Lean tools throughout the design and validation process
  • ·       Develop, maintain, and present project metrics: cost, performance, milestone/timeline as directed
  • ·       Identify, prioritize, and coordinate resolution of Purchasing, Production, and Quality Assurance issues as appropriate
  • ·       Occasional travel to customer sites to perform initial installation and review product performance
