The Sr. Product Manager position is responsible for managing SharePoint and other supporting applications throughout their lifecycle.  This role is an intersection between business operations, technology solutions and the end-user experience.  The Sr. product manager must possess skills in vendor management, business analysis, project management and application management to be successful in this role.  The Sr. Product manager should be passionate about optimizing applications to achieve the business goals while maximizing return on investment, shall be knowledgeable of technology to assess levels of effort and serves as an advocate for the processes and products across business and IT.    





Bachelors of Science in Business, IT or other related field of study required

6 years of experience in a Product Management role may be substituted for the required degree.



10 years of experience in Product Management or related disciplines



Technical background to interface with vendors

Experience in project management and business analysis

Experienced interfacing with clientele and high level executives and managers


Ability to act as the owner and SME for SharePoint

Experience developing out of the box SharePoint solutions

Experience with InfoPath and other web based forms

Experience with intranet design and management

Contract/Document management experience

Experience creating workflows and process automation in SharePoint -

Ability to develop and conduct SharePoint training for all levels of SharePoint users

Sharepoint certification preferred



  • Manage the overall application vendor relationship(s) and ensure their delivery, including the management of application support agreements, budgets and requests for new work, changes and production support.
  • Work with the business to set a vision for the product and develop/maintain a product roadmap for the company. Understand the vendor’s roadmap for their product and how it will impact the company.
  • Consult with the business, IT and the vendor to review new product features and improve on existing ones while identifying opportunities for KC.
  • Act as the SME for the product and champion all change requests for the product.
  • Own the health of the system (software and Hardware) and work in partnership with business and IT leaders to obtain and commit necessary resources at the appropriate time, level, and expertise to support the product
  • Help establish processes and provide input on Product Management to develop a center of excellence around the discipline.
  • Project management as needed for small enhancements/projects, minor releases and overall risk and issue management. Collaborate with project managers on larger projects to ensure delivery of technology solutions on time and on budget.
  • Establish goals, monitor performance and provide feedback through a balanced scorecard
