Senior Database Designer/Developer
GDH Consulting is looking for a Senior Database Designer/Developer to work onsite in San Jose, CA. Job Details
You will be joining a team of energetic engineers to design and build a platform to enable Smart Licensing for all Cisco software products. The solution involves a Smart Agent (C or Java) running on software product instances and communicating with a cloud-based licensing service to register, request and report license usage. Usage data is processed and consolidated with additional customer data in Java/REST API, and then presented to users through a Cisco-hosted UI portal built using Bootstrap and Back-bone.
We are enhancing our midway communication point, Smart Receiver, by adding a database to meet the new business model of future Telemetry needs. We are looking for experienced database design experts who can help not only design the database for scale and reliability but are hands on in developing this. Experience working in large scale deployments of data and in a fast paced development environment is highly preferred. Required
- Strong expertise in SQL database administration.
- Expertise in database configuration for scalability and high availability.
- Familiar with database schema design, normalization and optimization.
- Expertise on tools for database diagnosis, troubleshooting, performance tuning.
- Working experience of MySQL or Oracle database.
- Familiar with Java EE architecture.
- Knowledge of NoSQL database.
