Role & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate thought leadership in solving customer pain points and achieving their business outcomes.
  • Plan, Design & Implement projects for service providers large scale networks.
  • Support ongoing subscription based network consulting projects for service providers.
  • Performs analysis and diagnosis of most complex networking problems.
  • Acts as the technical specialist for the most complex deployments.
  • Provides highest-level crisis management.
  • Identifies skills and business shortfalls and establishes programs to address them.
  • Collaborates proactively with other engineers to ensure optimal use of resources to meet customer needs.
  •  Lead the projects and/or contribute actively to the team working on specific assignments/projects.


Desired Skills

  • Proficient in SP technologies like IP/MPLS and related services (L2vpn, L3 mplsvpn, TE, QoS, etc),mobile backhaul for all generations of cellular technologies.
  • Proficiency in designing/deploying in LAN/WAN topologies using routing protocols like OSPF/ISIS, EIGRP, BGP, IPv6, MPLS, fast convergence (MPLS-TE, LFA, BFD etc) , Multicast /MLDP, HA/Redundancy etc.
  • Good understanding of last mile (both wired and wireless) technologies.
  • Proven experience in Cisco IOS/IOS XE/ IOS XR /NX OS and Proficient on Cisco products – 6500/7600, GSR, ASR9K, ASR1K, ASR903,ASR920, CRS, NCS, Nexus (9K/7K/6K/5K,3K/2K), UCS/Compute & Cisco switches with ability to design and deploy as per requirements.
  • Knowledge of technological changes in SP domain (Virtualization/SDN etc).
  • Ability to translate the requirements to technical details.
  • Should be a good team player and ability to multitask.
  • Typically requires BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent plus  6 + years related experience.
  • CCIE highly desired.
